Concert Choir and Chorale at Eigenheim

Concert Choir and Chorale sang at Eigenheim Mennonite Church this past Sunday morning for their worship service.  It was perhaps a little crowded up at the front of the church, but it was a great morning nonetheless!  Thank you to Eigenheim for hosting us and feeding us. It was great to see such a packed church on Sunday!

Concert Choir fills the front of the sanctuary at Eigenheim Mennonite Church.

Chorale also sang a few of their songs.

Chorale at the Kielke Supper

Chorale had their debut performance for the year at the Kielke & Sausage Fundraising Supper at Bethany Manor in Saskatoon. They sang seven songs:
  1. Come Christians, Join To Sing (arr. Stan Pethel)
  2. Pentatonic Alleluia (Ross Whitney)
  3. O Lord, You're Beautiful (Keith Green)
  4. I Shall Not Be Moved (arr. Alice Parker)
  5. Prayer Of Thankful Praise (Hal Hopson)
  6. City Called Heaven (Josephine Poelinitz)
  7. The Gift To Be Simple (arr. Bob Chilcott)
Thank-you to Audrey Falk Janzen for playing piano for us this time, and to RJC Alumnus Phil Klaassen who joined us for an impromptu solo on "City Called Heaven."  The audience was great, the room was packed and the singers came away feeling a tremendous amount of support from the larger RJC community.

Standing room only for the supper. Great support from so many people, and how cool to have such a generational mix!

The room at Bethany Manor was PACKED! Close to 300 people showed up!

So great to see former Chorale singers show up to hear us sing!

The Chorale killing some time, waiting for their turn to sing.

It was a little tight up front for the choir, but otherwise a great place to perform.

What a treat to have RJC Alumnus Phil Klaassen join us to "resurrect" his solo in "City Called Heaven" by Josephine Poelinitz.
