Sunday worship at Rosthern Mennonite Church

RJC brought their choirs to Rosthern Mennonite Church on Sunday, October 27 for the morning worship service. The singers and student readers lead in worship by meditating on the Psalms and singing beautiful songs of praise and instruction.

Thank you RMC for opening your doors to us and welcoming us so warmly. Of course the potluck meal after the service is always a highlight for our students!

Choir Workshop and Saskatoon Youth Orchestra

We welcomed the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra to our campus last weekend for their fall rehearsal workshop retreat. Some of our own students took part in a parallel choir workshop, preparing for their Chorale auditions which run this week.

Lots of hard work and tired voices by the end, but the Fall Concert on Sunday afternoon was a real highlight as the choir and orchestra featured some of their work. Thank you to Richard Carnegie and the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra for using our facilities and inspiring us in our musicianship!

HMS Pinafore - Sneak Peek!

We tried the costumes for the first time on Friday. Mostly with improper footwear (or in some cases no footwear at all!) but it still gave us a good idea of what we will look like on stage.  Overall enthusiasm remains high and we look forward to some amazing live performances next week!

The leads pose for a quick photo-op with Susan Schmidt Goertz. Susan came in to help with some vocal coaching. Susan is the Ministry Arts Director at Bethany College in Hepburn. Thank so much Susan!

Just how DO you wear these hats?!

Richard gives instruction to the sailors. The sailor's outfits were designed and built by Gwen Ens and Denise Epp. THANK YOU! The rest of the costumes were rented from Harlequin in Winnipeg.
